Forgotten Corners: A New Exhibition
Taillights In Laneway is one of ten pieces showing at the Tremont Hall Gallery in Collingwood.
Mountain Life Magazine did a feature on Will Skol’s imagery last summer, and now Skol has expanded upon those published photos to create a new series. Borrowing the headline from the ML article, Skol says Forgotten Corners is “an attempt to venture beyond the postcard-ready representation of a town, and present an alternative, but equally reverent, look at its less obvious sites and related locations. Here, we see unvarnished living history, back allies, jarring architectural juxtapositions, and a heightened examination (and appreciation) of the everyday.”
Ten pieces from the series are now showing at the Tremont Hall Gallery in downtown Collingwood, and an expanded online edition can be seen here.
